World Chess Championship 2023 without Magnus!

As the chess world turns without Magnus,as he abdicated the title, today is the beginning of a new chess era in terms of the FIDE World Chess Championships.

Today is day one of the match between Ian Nepomniachtchi vs Ding Liren, aka Nepo – Ding.

Astana, Kazakhstan, from April 7 to May 1, at the St. Regis Astana hotel is the location of this prestigious event!

At present game 1 seems to be petering off into a draw as the battle of nerves and the intangibles of day one jitters in my opinion, has to be shaken off.
